The first miles in Philippine waters were difficult for us. Between the Celebes Sea and the Sulu Sea is the Basilan Strait. This place is famous for sea robbers, and unstable extremists groups, so we had to be very attentive at every moment. Luckily we encountered no trouble while sailing the strait and after few days, we safely reached the stunning islands of Palawan, in the south of Philippines. We finally dropped anchor in front of the small town of Coron and enjoyed a relaxing sundowner to end our stressful navigation. Coron is one of the few places in the world were tourists have no negative impact yet on the locals.
