The weather in the summer monsoon season in the Philippines was terrible. It was raining for weeks without stopping. We celebrated the 1st august in Manila with the Swiss Ambassador, and left immediately after. We tried to sail to Hong Kong, but there was not even one sunray coming on our photovoltaic panels. There was no energy for the boat. We could not reach Hong-Kong, so we started to be affected by this weather too. We became impatient. Finally, the weather changed after a few days. We were so happy to see the sun that we dropped the zodiac to make some pictures with PlanetSolar and the sun reunited together again. We were luckily able to cross the South China Sea under 5 straight days of great sunshine, and arrive on time in Hong Kong.
